“Dear Bro John File,

Thank you for your little thoughtful gift and for your prayers that accompanied it.

God loves you with an everlasting love — you are precious to Him. Do not be anxious or afraid. Put your hand in Mary’s hand and say your ‘fiat.’

I pray for you that Our Lady be a Mother to you in illness… that She may touch you with Her healing love, if it is God’s will for you to be alright, or else give you the grace to take what He gives and give what He takes with a smile — for this is true holiness for you and me. I count on your prayers and sacrifices for us all that we may love Jesus with greater generosity and His poor with greater humility. Enclosed is a medal of our Blessed Mother for you from Lourdes. Use it with child-like trust in Her love for you and pray often: "Mary Mother of Jesus, make me alright".
