Offered here is a rare Type 1 Original Photograph of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy taken on November 21, 1963 – the day before JFK’s assignation. This important 8x10 image shows the President and First Lady on the first day of their Texas tour, warmly greeted by supporters and dignitaries as Air Force One stands in the background. Both are smiling, radiating the optimism and charisma that defined his presidency in the early 1960s - a powerful snapshot of a leader at the height of his public life.
November 21st was a day filled with anticipation and engagement. The Kennedy’s visited multiple Texas cities, meeting local officials, addressing crowds, and projecting the warmth and energy that made JFK a beloved figure nationwide. Just 24 hours later, on November 22nd, his life and the course of American history would be tragically altered in Dallas, making this photograph an extraordinarily rare and poignant record of his final full day.
