Grant’s signature is absolutely perfect, graded Mint 9 by PSA/DNA, and it contrasts perfectly against the cream colored paper. We’ve paired the iconic signature with a great image of Grant in his military uniform.

Of course, Grant rose to prominence during the Civil War and was promoted to Commanding General of the Union Forces by President Abraham Lincoln. Grant’s leadership and expertise in the battlefield led to the Confederacy’s surrender in April of 1865.

Following the Civil War victory, and the subsequent assassination of President Lincoln just one month later, Grant remained Commander of the U.S. Army and served as assumed President Andrew Johnson’s Secretary of War until 1868.

A war hero and leader in American Reconstruction, Grant would go on to win the Presidential Election of 1868 and serve two terms in office.
