The Boss!
This one immediately caught our attention as soon as we confirmed it was an original Type 1 photograph. It's the earliest Springsteen image we've owned, and it's an absolute gem—The Boss before he was The Boss, in his late 20s, smiling from ear to ear! Measuring 8" x 10" and in Mint-immaculate condition, this stunning photo dates back to the late 1970s. We simply adore this image and can’t imagine another one like it!
We believe that high-quality images of American icons, particularly those of this nature, are often grossly overlooked and certainly undervalued. Early "first-generation" photographs of significant figures will always hold appeal and be highly sought after by collectors. The soaring prices of Type 1 sports photos are a clear testament to this trend. We are confident that the same will happen with Type 1 images from American pop culture and history. These photos not only represent good, solid value but also serve as timeless, powerful images of iconic moments.
Type 1 photographs are extremely rare - with just a handful of each image known to exist, many times just one of a kind unique! They are collected as 1st generation photographs, developed from the original negative within approximately two years of when the picture was taken.
