Ruth’s autograph is large, bold, and flawlessly executed.The jet-black fountain pen appears to have had an unusually broad nib — an uncommon characteristic that resulted in exceptionally thick, bold strokes throughout the signature. Equally important, the autograph is free of hole cancellations and bank stampings, unfortunate flaws that can compromise signed checks.
