The 1909 T204 Ramly set continues to captivate collectors over a century later with its ornate gold-embossed borders, delicate paper stock, and timeless photographic portraits. Each card is a miniature work of art, and condition sensitivity makes even mid-grade examples difficult to come by.

Offered here is a 1909 T204 Ramly card featuring Pat Moran, a key figure from the deadball era best known for his leadership both on the field and later as a successful manager. This SGC VG-EX 4 example presents extremely well, with Moran’s portrait crisply centered and framed by a striking, deep gold border that retains strong visual presence despite the typical edge and corner wear associated with the set.

Very light wear can be seen around the edges and on the reverse, consistent with the fragile nature of Ramlys, whose embossed printing tends to attract dust and debris. Still, the card maintains rich contrast and strong eye appeal. A small crease in the upper left is the only reason for the VG/EX assessment with the remaining presentation at EX-NM.

T204 Ramlys remain one of the most aesthetically revered tobacco issues of the early 20th century, and Pat Moran’s card is a tough find in any grade.
