Walt Disney Signed Alice in Wonderland Dye Transfer Print Photo. Auto JSA

Alice in Wonderland!
A striking Walt Disney autograph display pairing his unmistakable handwriting with the colorful world he helped bring to life. This vintage dye transfer print features an extraordinary ensemble of characters from Disney’s 1951 animated classic Alice in Wonderland, personally inscribed by Walt Disney beneath the image. With Disney’s handwriting incorporated directly into the presentation, the piece beautifully brings together the artist, his signature and one of his studio’s most celebrated films.

Walt Disney has long been one of our favorite signatures in the autograph world. Few are so instantly recognizable or so perfectly reflective of the person behind them. With its sweeping lines, exaggerated flourishes and unmistakable artistic flow, Disney’s penmanship feels less like a traditional autograph and more like an illustration in its own right. Presented alongside the vibrant artwork of Alice in Wonderland, that distinctive style feels especially at home.

Disney’s influence on American entertainment and popular culture is difficult to overstate. From the creation of Mickey Mouse to the extraordinary expansion of Walt Disney Studios, his imagination helped redefine animation and storytelling for generations. Released in 1951, Alice in Wonderland became one of the studio’s most visually distinctive productions, bringing Lewis Carroll’s fantastical world to the screen through the unmistakable artistry and imagination of Disney animation. More than 75 years later, Alice and the eccentric inhabitants of Wonderland remain among the most recognizable characters in the Disney canon.

The print itself depicts Alice surrounded by several of Wonderland’s most memorable characters, including the Caterpillar, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dodo and others. Unlike an animation cel used in the physical production of a film, a dye transfer is a photographic printing process celebrated for its exceptional richness and depth of color. Measuring approximately 17" x 15", the piece is personally inscribed “To Michael, Best Wishes” in Disney’s hand, with his iconic stylized signature completing the presentation below.
