Rare Otis Redding Signed 1966 Concert Ticket. Only 1 Known! Auto PSA

The Only Otis Redding Signed Concert Ticket in the Hobby - 1 of 1!
An extraordinary rarity from the tragically brief career of Otis Redding, this original concert ticket is from The Otis Redding Show at Pittsburgh’s Penn Theatre Auditorium on July 24, 1966. Redding signed the reverse in blue ink with a large, flowing signature - a remarkable piece of concert history directly connected to one of the most important voices in American music.

Few artists left as profound an impact in as little time as Otis Redding. With classics including “Try a Little Tenderness” and “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay,” Redding became one of the defining figures of soul music and an enduring American music icon. His career was cut tragically short when he died in a plane crash in December 1967 at just 26 years old. “Dock of the Bay,” recorded only days before his death, would become the first posthumous No. 1 single in Billboard Hot 100 history.

Redding’s early death left an exceptionally small window in which authentic autographs could be obtained, making his signature considerably scarce compared to other major artists of his era. Signed material with a direct connection to his performing career is nearly impossible!

Most importantly, based on our extensive research, this is the only Otis Redding signed concert ticket known in the entire hobby. We are unaware of another example appearing at public auction or being offered for sale. The significance is difficult to overstate: Redding’s autograph appears directly on an original ticket to see him perform, creating an exceptionally rare artifact from the career of one of America’s most celebrated musical icons.
