A phenomenal early Jimmie Foxx signed Real Photo Postcard dating to 1929, capturing the young Philadelphia Athletics superstar at the very beginning of his legendary Hall of Fame career. Foxx has boldly signed the image “Regards, Jimmie Foxx” across the front in dark fountain ink, earning an outstanding autograph grade of 9 from PSA/DNA.

Just 21 years old in 1929, Foxx was emerging as one of baseball’s most feared young sluggers. That season, he batted .354 with 33 home runs, 118 RBI, and a 1.088 OPS, helping Connie Mack’s powerhouse Athletics capture the World Series Championship. It marked the beginning of an extraordinary run for “Double X,” who would win another championship with Philadelphia in 1930 before becoming the second player in Major League history to reach 500 career home runs.

The postcard presents beautifully, featuring a full-length image of Foxx in his Philadelphia Athletics uniform posed with a bat and glove. Unlike a mass-produced photographic card, a Real Photo Postcard was created using an actual photographic process on postcard stock, giving the image the appearance and character of an original period photograph.

Foxx retired as one of the greatest right-handed power hitters the game had ever seen, finishing his career with 534 home runs, 1,922 RBI, a .325 batting average, three American League MVP Awards, and the 1933 Triple Crown. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951.
