Two smaller illustrations beneath his portrait tell that story: one depicts his modest birthplace in Galveston, Texas, while the other portrays Johnson behind the wheel of his automobile, a powerful symbol of wealth, independence, and success in early 20th-century America. Together, these images present Johnson not simply as a champion inside the ring, but as a celebrated public figure whose accomplishments extended far beyond boxing.

Johnson's championship represented a defining moment in American sports and social history. At a time when racial segregation and discrimination shaped nearly every aspect of American life, his unprecedented success, flamboyant personality, and unapologetic enjoyment of wealth challenged the conventions of his era.
